Description
Very aesthetically appealing hexagonal calcite crystals on matrix.
A relatively new and hard to find discovery out of Daye Co., Huangshi, Hubei, China.
The calcite crystals are presented in layers which gives the visual appearance of a sandwich, hence leading to its name. The two outside edges are typically white and the inner layer is glossy and gray or colorless.
Highly UV reactive. These are one of the brightest minerals under UV that I have personally seen. Shows brilliant orange under long wave UV lighting. It was very difficult to capture the true color under UV with my camera but I tried to get a representative photo and they are very beautiful.
These have been very difficult to obtain at an affordable price but I have obtained a box of very good quality for a reasonable price so that I can pass the savings on to you.
