Description
Very aesthetically appealing hexagonal calcite crystals on matrix.
A relatively new and hard to find discovery out of Daye Co., Huangshi, Hubei, China.
The calcite crystals are presented in layers which gives the visual appearance of a sandwich, hence leading to its name. The layers are typically white or glossy and gray or colorless.
Highly UV reactive. These are one of the brightest minerals under UV that I have personally seen. Shows brilliant orange under long wave UV lighting. It was very difficult to capture the true color under UV with my camera but I tried to get a representative photo and they are very beautiful.
These have been very difficult to obtain at an affordable price but I have obtained a box of very good quality for a reasonable price so that I can pass the savings on to you.
